Dotmogo loves the mix of social enterprise and cool design – as you can see from our Africa Community and Coalition of The Willing posts previously. I just stumbled across this great animation for the Only The Brave Foundation by Brand New School & Antidote. The style is really neat, referencing the title sequences of Saul Bass and 60’s cartoons.
The Only The Brave Foundation is a not-for-profit organization, born in Veneto, North Italy which originally started with the purpose of redressing the balance of disadvantaged young people in its local region in North East Italy. As the foundation developed, naturally the main focus shifted to a bigger picture – to the youngest, but most disadvantaged continent in the world: Africa.
The manifesto animation is part of a quite a hefty marketing campaign by the charity, that includes a Facebook game set in a virtual village – which you can see here. It’s a great way of narrative to deliver rich media content in a more captivating way, making donating to charity more informal and fun whilst also providing and context and depth.
