Epoch4 animation – The Unlimited Dream Company

We are so happy when people we have never heard of send in amazing work – the thrill of discovering new talent does not seem to have worn off yet!

This time we received a short fashion film called Epoch 4.  It showcases the new and very organic looking collection of the jewellery designer Noemi Klein with a film from Céli Lee – co-founder and creative director of the ambitiously titled “The Unlimited Dream Company

The Unlimited Dream company on dotmogoI had a brief chat with Céli about her collaboration.  As with many fashion films it is more about a collection of memory fragments than an obvious narrative. She told me the jewellery had an underwater theme – which inspired the animation.  I particularly liked what looked like breathing shells that pulsate in and out.  She animated using Cinema 4D and Pixo Logic’s ZBrush, which, she said, you can work with in both 2D and 3D.  “Although a bit surreal I wanted to get across the idea that jewellery often has an emotional association or event linked with it.”

Céli is originally from Bejing and met fellow creative Sergio while collaborating online.  They set up The Unlimited Dream Company a year ago in London’s East End (where else…?)  Let us know what you think of this hyper real piece…

Epoch 4 was premiered in the BFC Canon Cinema during 2013 London Fashion Week.
