Pause Fest Opening Titles 2012

Whilst we are waiting to hear the announcement of the Promax UK winners tomorrow – we thought we would take your mind off the tension by telling you about another creative festival, called Pause Fest  starting on the same day, as co-incidence would have it.

Although this concentration of the best and brightest in digital shenanigans takes place in Melbourne, with screenings, industry workshops, and interactive projects etc, the sound for this fine title sequence was done by the UK’s Echoic Audio.  I think they’ve done a fine job of meshing all the different pieces into one flowing soundtrack.  I especially like the look of some of the sci-fi look motion pieces.  Future specs anyone…?

This year they will talks by Psyop, Marmalade (new high speed camera system), a set of films about possible futures called Future Shorts, the best of upcoming motion graphic students, Arup will be providing an overview of location-based services and tracking systems – and a LOT more – check out the Pause Fest website for a full program

Looks like a lot of fun, shame it’s so far!  Back for more Promax action next week.
