I’ve just received this set of clever new Honda sponsorship spots in my inbox from Analog and Nexus. Judging from some internet research – it’s seems to be going viral at the moment – 3 million hits in a week. This is testament to this fantastic team effort – Wieden & Kennedy, the ad agency, who consistently come up with great creative for their Honda client, Honda for letting them do so and directors Smith & Foulkes. See – great creative really does work! Continue reading “Wieden & Kennedy – Honda Hands Sponsorship spots” »
This month at See No Evil they have the immensely talented Analog Studio. They are a creative visual effects studio based in London producing commercials, music videos, short films and web content. I’ve put a small example of their work above – their recent exploding room for Citizen watches. They produce original content and work together with directors and animators on unique ideas for film and television – and have been featured here a few times on dotmogo. (UKTV Watch idents, CBS Chellozone rebrand and Discovery SCi , to name a few…)
Between them, they have been awarded a VES, Bafta, RTS, Promax BDA Gold and had work nominated for an Emmy, RTS, D&AD - so they definitely know what they’re talking about!
As usual it’s FREE and there are great prizes to win courtesy of their friends at Stash Magazine.
So get down to SNE where you can meet some liked minded creative people, and have some fun in the process!

We noticed this pleasingly quirky rebranding of CBS’ portfolio of TV channels across EMEA by Studio Hansa in partnership with Analog and GlossyRey recently and wanted to show you guys. I really liked the variety of live action cause and effect of the Reality ident, the hyper real 100% CGI of Network ident and the still motion tensionin the drama ident. In my opinion they managed to make these identities feel like they had some of the oddball humour of the cooler youth channels like E4 while covering some very mainstream programs Continue reading “Studio Hansa & Analog – CBS/Chellozone rebrand” »
I’m watching an idyllic mountain scene with a lake in the foreground when suddenly all the water drains out and then just as suddenly all the rocks on the bottom jump up in the air and coalesce into a tight ball enveloped in a liquid. The sound is throbbing and I can vaguely see some letters in there, but I as I do I get a fly blotting out my vision as it flys right at me. This is certainly not zone -out television – it’s one of a new set of idents for Discovery’s Science channel called SCI.
It’s taken a while since they posted up a teaser of the Smoke ident a few weeks ago, but here, finally are all four of the new eye-popping UKTV Watch idents – Smoke, Liquid, Hair & Crystal.
I had a chat with Aporva Baxi from DixonBaxi, to find out more. He told me that the “Watch” channel had had a bit of a repositioning since HarrimanSteele did their idents a few years ago. The new feel is more about “exploring the extraordinary” – with a batch of new shows that back that up very nicely - the highly anticipated Grimm from NBC Universal, as well as JJ Abram’s Alcatraz and Primeval: New World
